Warehouse Sack Stack Collapses on Worker Caught on Camera

Security-camera footage from a storage aisle shows a worker standing at the base of a stack of white sacks piled high above his head. Seconds later the column gives way and the load slides down onto the spot where he is standing. The clip runs from time code 00:31 to 00:42, and by the end the aisle is filled with fallen bags.

Towering Sack Stack Collapses on Worker in Warehouse Aisle

A Narrow Aisle, A Tower of Sacks

For the opening seconds, nothing looks out of the ordinary. A man in a white short-sleeved shirt and dark trousers stands in a passage between two columns of white sacks printed with blue markings. The pile beside him rises well above his head, bag stacked on bag, and the camera looks down the aisle from a high angle.

He works at the base of the stack, at times reaching up toward the sacks and shifting his position along the column. A yellow line runs along the floor near him, and the same pattern of stacked bags continues on the other side of the aisle.

The setting looks like a wholesale or storage facility, with sack after sack arranged in tight columns that leave little open space around the worker. From 00:31 to about 00:37, the pile keeps its shape and the time stamp advances without any visible change in the stack.

The Stack Gives Way at 00:38

The turning point arrives at 00:38. The column loses its shape and sacks slide into the aisle, dropping down the passage in the direction of the worker. In a second or two, a wall of stacked bags becomes a slope.

By 00:39 the pile has flattened across the floor, and the frames that follow show a broad field of fallen sacks spreading from one side of the aisle to the other. There is no clear view of the worker in the middle of that spill.

From 00:40 to 00:41 the passage is largely blocked by bags, and the neat columns that framed the aisle are broken apart at floor level. The final frames show movement at the left edge of the aisle, where a figure in white is partly visible beside the spilled load, and at 00:42 someone appears bent over among the sacks.

Whether that person is the worker who stood at the base of the stack, and whether anyone was hurt, cannot be confirmed from the footage alone. The gap between the stack and the opposite wall was narrow enough that stepping clear would have taken only a stride or two.

A Pay Question on the Audio

A short stretch of audio runs with the clip, in which a voice asks about the rate paid to a new worker. The exchange mentions 20 dollars and ends with a complaint about an "operator."

how much you pay for the new guy … 20 bucks … no good operator

It is not clear who is speaking, where the recording was made or whether the conversation has any link to the collapse. The upload carries only a brief title and a shortened link, with no location for the storage site, no date and no explanation of what happened after the sacks came down.

What the Footage Does Not Show

The clip places the events in a storage aisle filled with sacks, but it does not identify the company, the city or the country, and no official account of the incident appears in the available material. Several basic facts remain open:

  • who was working at the base of the stack when it fell
  • whether the collapse caused injuries
  • how tall the pile was and how it had been stacked
  • whether any authority has reviewed the footage

Nothing in the sources carries a conclusion about cause or responsibility, and no investigation is mentioned. Because the aisle offered almost no open space, the sequence shows how quickly a stacked load can change a routine shift.

Should warehouses be required to clear an aisle before anyone works beneath a stack that tall?
